others to change their attitude or behavior regarding an issue
through message transmission in an atmosphere of free choice.

CONFORMITY is the act of matching attitudes, beliefs, and
behaviors to group norms.

Our tendency to conform occurs in small groups and society
as a whole, and results from subtile unconscious influences,
or direct and overt social pressure.
